Great stay. Comfortable, clean, great location to the city and also the ferry terminals. The only thing I didn’t like was the floor in the rooms. It was plastic and textured which makes it difficult to clean and made me uncomfortable to walk in my bare feet.

Some quirks, but worth the money!

The room was huge! Plenty of space for a group of friends or a family. Only odd thing was that it seemed to also be the ADA room or at least that's how the bathroom was designed. But there was no shower curtain. So the water went everywhere despite every effort to the contrary. Also, the thermostat was governored to 20C (68F) and took a very long time to get there, so a fan was necessary. Breakfast was awesome! Definitely worth the money. Very comfortable overall.

Can’t beat the price for modern amenities

The rate is exceptional for how modern and well located the hotel is. You do sacrifice some of the usual amenities you might expect in a hotel like a tv, fridge, microwave and room space but this didn’t bother me any. My only negative feedback would be that the towels were just sad especially since we went to the CityBox Helsinki after and they had much nicer towels. Also the room would get too hot and I couldn’t get the cool setting to work. Definitely would stay again though!

The room is basic but clean, comfortable and very sufficient for a quick stay in Tallinn. If you want a luxurious stay this is maybe not your pick, but if you are just looking for a nice and inexpensive place to sleep in, this is perfect. Luggage storage, check in and check out work well.

Very modern and great value for money. Close to the Old Town and public transport. There’s also a vending machine which was easy to use with great options including hot food. The room itself was very modern, there was no TV in the room there’s really no need for one as there is a shared one in the common area on each floor.

Exceptional experience

I travel a lot solo and I must say that this was the best hotel I’ve had during a solo stay. The room was fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed the heated bathroom floors 🙌 The bed was so comfortable and the hotel is beautiful. The checkin and checkout were very easy and love that they are available on WhatsApp to answer any questions. Absolutely would stay again, I wish every hotel experience was like this!!

A couple of glitches, and great staff

I had never stayed at a Citybox hotel and was a bit dubious about self check-in and other sort of “do it yourself” aspects. In fact, when we arrived to check-in, I realized I didn’t have my check-in code. I must have deleted that email from Citybox. However, the staff were extremely helpful and retrieved my code and we were up and running. At the check-in kiosk, I was able to pay by tapping my card, and the kiosk dispensed my card keys without a glitch. That evening, I noticed that the room was quite warm (almost 25 degrees), so I “complained” to a staff member who took a device to the room to check the temp at ghe AC vent and it checked out to be 20 degrees at the register, but she acknowledged that the room was warm. She thought that maybe the AC hadn’t had time to cool the room yet. She told me to let the staff know if the room was still too warm when we returned from dinner. Well, it wasn’t, but we decided to tough it out for that evening. The next morning I told staff member that the room was still too warm. She went to the room with me and confirmed that the AC wasn’t working correctly. She assigned a different room right away. Because we had switched rooms, the attached restaurant where we were to have the “hotel” breakfast got signals crossed and had instructions to provide only one breakfast, so again a staff member walked to the breakfast venue with me to straighten it out. On both occasions, the staff members were friendly, helpful, and professional.
