lovely stay at Chez Fred
A very unique experience. Host Fred very welcoming, Room very comfortable and quiet. Property full of character, and warm ,as nights were getting chilly in October. We had a great evening meal ,with other guests around the kitchen table. . Fred had an amazing range of French wines for a B& B. It was just like dining with friends, that you hadn't caught up with for some time. We can thoroughly recommend the experience

We had a great stay at this property. We opted for a taster menu of local sourced produce and we were very impressed. It included a melon with a liqueur on top, a fresh salad, some hams and pâté and a fabulous selection of cheese. We had some local champagne to drink with. We were in food heaven. It was very quiet and slept like babies. The breakfast was also delicious, with so many home made jams, fresh bread and croissant. Juice snd tea and coffee. Fred was very good and made sure we were looked after. The grounds are beautiful with a river stream at the bottom of the garden. Highly recommend!

Hidden Gem
A warm welcome in a quaint old stone house. Fred was charming and very helpful. The room was spacious and full of character. It was. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was traditional French with delicious homemade jams and preserves made from produce in the graden. The nearby town of Château-Thierry has all the shops and restaurants you may need. Definitely a place to return to.

Enjoyed our final two nights in France here before catching a flight home from CDG. With some advanced notice, Fred waited up for us as we were driving from Alsace. The rooms were comfortable for my family of 5. Fred provided a magnificent breakfast each morning which we enjoyed. Fred was also very helpful in providing tourist suggestions in the area including a good playground for our kids. One note that if you're tall like me, the entry from the street into the yard is low and there are a couple of places where you need to duck your head inside the house.

It's a bit off the beaten track. It's a very old farmhouse, but the room I stayed in was very nice. The host was very pleasant. When I arrived, there was no one there, but I had booked late, and the host didn't expect to have a guest. But he arrived soon after I did. They make their own jellies and jams from fruits from their own garden. Quite good. Very nice quiet area.

An unexpectedly good and relaxing stay.
We stayed for 2 nights on our way back to the UK and will definitely return. Our room was recently refurbished in an old style and was spacious and comfortable. Fred and Cecile are great hosts and chat with those guests who want to in English or French. The garden is very relaxing and we were free to use it whenever we wanted. I would recommend the local food that they offer at supper time for one evening as well. Thanks for a wonderful welcome and a relaxing stay. Sara and Luigi

Simply outstanding. The host and property were first class. We were unsure what to expect from the dining table but we were treated to superb local food, wine and champagne and enjoyed excellent company with fellow guests. I think only nice people stay here! Fantastic host, beautiful house!
Fred was a fantastic host - attentive, welcoming and with a great sense of humour. My partner and I almost cancelled in order to beat the UK quarantine however the stay was worth it - a beautiful, historic home set amongst some fantastic French countryside. I can highly recommend the picnic basket which Fred prepares using local suppliers... we are hoping to visit again soon!

Excellent

A beautiful place in the countryside
I was in France for one month. Our stay here was my favorite overall. Fred was so warm and accommodating. What wonderful hosts. We booked this last minute and wish we could’ve stayed a few more days but our schedule did not permit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and meeting Fred. Our room was beautiful, immaculate, simple but cool artistic pieces throughout. It was nice and cool eventhough there was an uberable heatwave going on. The grounds were such a joy to walk around. You really can just sit and enjoy the beauty of nature at the property. We woke to a beautiful set table in the garden with croissants, jam, juice and coffe. Fred and Cecile have made a special place here - so much attention to detail, yet remains in nature state. Thank you so much for making our stay a memorable one !

Great experience staying with Fred
Great experience staying with Fred. When we arrived, he showed us our rooms and made us tea to drink on the porch. We walked around the back and saw the cows and the scenery, which were magical. In the morning, Fred had fresh croissants and homemade jams that were delicious. I would recommend staying with Fred if you are looking for a place in this area.

Inconspicuous from the outside, lovingly restored with a great deal of passion and dedication on the inside. Fantastic, huge garden behind the house Very good and friendly hosts. Great breakfast with homemade jams and local products. Good selection of good champagnes with direct contact to the winegrowers. Very close to the motorway towards Paris and yet in the middle of nowhere.
