No message with the code to get onto the harbour, then given an incorrect code, which took a member of staff to come and test it and then had to ask a bus driver for it. Then to find a couple who had the correct code, were checking in just in front of us - how did they get the right code?! Check in was ok, although we were left hanging around and not told our room was ready.

"We had a lovely 5 day stay in quaint Il de Re. The room was lovely. The pool perfect temperature and the staff couldn’t be nicer. Very accessible to restaurants and shops and the spa is a nice reprieve after biking all day. Highly recommend this little oasis."

"These hotels does what it says on the tin . Offers cheap accommodation for stop over . Rooms are clean but need updating . WiFi worked a dream .
Down side was the shower nearly hanging off the wall and had to hold in my one had whilst I showered . "

"I booked for 9 people, 2 families, 4 adults and 5 kids. They provided 3 rooms, fitting 1 or 2 adults per room. Not the best idea if the family wanta to stay together. The rooms were clean, but very minimalistic and tiny. Reception was servicing french speaking guests first, then the rest. One of the rooms was not prepared for our arrival. I would never come back as a family, however i might stay as a single person."

Castle has an interesting history and ornate facade and is complete with Rapunzel tower and grand salon. Our room was up high with a pleasant view of the drive. "Odd smells in both the room and bathroom that persisted throughout our stay. Only two towels and one for the floor, so none to dry hands for example. To wash our hands we had to climb into the shower to get soap.
The staff was nice and the breakfast decent.
