The hurricanes and earthquakes destroyed a lot of the city. The main areas and attractions are either closed or shells of their former selves. This town needs a lot of work to get back to how it was. I recommend some research before you go.

It is Puerto Rico's 2nd largest and most important city. Its diverse and beautiful architecture tells about its history. People are very nice.

We're locals living abroad that went to visit family, therefore our review might be biased. Our hometown has a wonderful mix of history and culture with with a strong focus on future. The people are always nice and the food is amazing. Enjoy!

We were there over Holy Week, or Spring Break. We didn't realize that a lot of stores and restaurants close for the entire week. Would recommend, but for the full experience maybe don't go over Easter Break.

I'm a Ponce native myself, there is nothing like home. The city has improved in the tourism aspect. A lot of great places to eat, from quick and cheap to a fine dining. I recommend to visit Ponce always!

Do the local rum tour, well worth the cost and do the Paradise scuba and snorkeling tour of the local Bio bay, you won't regret it.
