"We really enjoyed our stay at Atacama Loft & Glamp. It was so beautiful to be outside in the dessert. There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy. The 20 minute walk to town was worth the serenity. We were warm in bed with lots of blankets and an electric mattress pad, even with winter temps below 0C. We enjoyed making breakfast just as we liked with good ingredients. "We looked at far more expensive, all-inclusive accommodations in San Pedro de Atacama before discovering Hotel Desertica. What a find! They truly had everything you need for a relaxing stay in the desert at a very reasonable price. The staff is friendly and professional, the free breakfast was fresh and abundant, and it was great to unwind at the restaurant at night after a long day exploring this incredible part of the world. "The hostel was clean and safe and I had a private washroom. The staff were great and friendly, however no one spoke English which is ok but the wifi was spotty so translation was challenging at times. It is off the main drag so good if you enjoy quiet but bad for meeting peole and socializing. There is a good restairant el diablo which is about 8 minutes walk from the property and some shops to get snacks and water close by. Also a market to get fresh fruit.
