Weston town centre


The town centre is a convenient choice if you want to be near shops, supermarkets, restaurants, and bars. Most of Weston’s shops are clustered close together along the High Street and inside the Sovereign Centre, while you’ll find independent retailers in Orchard Meadows located 5 minutes east. The railway station, nightclubs, and the Odeon Cinema are also in the heart of town. Hotels in the centre are rarely more than a 15-minute walk from the seafront.


You’ll find some of Weston’s most affordable accommodation in the centre of town strung along Locking Road near the railway station. If you’re looking for something quaint and intimate, you can book into a B&B where you can wake up to a home cooked breakfast. By Weston's beaches


Many of Weston’s hotels and guesthouses are located along the seafront, just behind Beach Lawns, with an unimpeded view of the water and Grand Pier. This area offers direct access to the beach, as well as proximity to the town centre’s main attractions. Brean Sands, a 20-minute drive south, has entertainment facilities including an enormous leisure park, restaurants, and cafés, and is a good choice for families. If you need a change of pace from the beach, Brean Down has excellent walking on a promontory out to sea.


The seafront in Weston has accommodation ranging from Victorian-era establishments to affordable chain hotels. There are also a variety of old-fashioned guesthouses and small mid-range hotels housed in stately period buildings. In nearby Brean, you’ll find a vast number of cabins and campsites. These are a good option for budget travellers, as you’ll enjoy full amenities as well as a beachside location.

Grove Park Village


This quaint hilly enclave at the northern end of Weston has a vibe all its own. Grove Park has an old bandstand and colourful flower displays, and houses an eclectic mix of independent shops. Some of Weston’s hippest cafés and restaurants are found in The Village’s little lanes, and if you want to catch a cultural event, the Playhouse and Blakehay theatres are both in the vicinity. It’s a short stroll to Marine Lake and the seafront, and a 5-minute walk to the High Street and main shopping area.


There are a several independently owned guesthouses and small hotels here. You can find large Victorian properties with spacious rooms and gardens, as well as quaint B&Bs. Some guesthouses have contemporary furnishings, and a couple of pubs on Marine Lake offer a few well-appointed rooms. You’ll find some aparthotels on the hillside, while all the properties located in this area enjoy spectacular sunset views.

Surrounding Somerset countryside


The Somerset countryside is dotted with some pretty and traditional villages that are located less than a 30-minute drive from Weston’s beaches. This area offers quiet surroundings, as well as proximity to village pubs and the Mendip Hills. It’s a short drive to attractions like the Wookey Hole Caves and Cheddar Gorge, while Chew Valley Lake and the cathedral city of Bath are less than 10 miles away.


In the Somerset hills, you’ll find a few country house hotels, ranging from grand manors to more rustic affairs, some of which have spas, gardens, and elegant restaurants.
