"Suite 2. Good location - next to a nice pub and another a couple of mins down the road. Good access to waterfalls and mountains. Rooms are nice, aircon, large tv, clean. Downsides - shower head was massive and came out so lightly, bed was slightly dipped in the middle and parking was all taken around our side. Staff lovely and the bacon baguettes for breakfast great."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Swansea

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly months to visit Swansea are January, November, and December, when hotel prices are typically lower. For a fulfilling experience, consider staying for at least 2 to 3 days to appreciate the city’s rich history and culture. During your visit, you can explore the marina, marvel at the castle, and enjoy the local museums and art scene. Take advantage of the friendly atmosphere in this small town, where you can also partake in festivals and biking activities. This trip promises great value for money while allowing you to soak in the unique charm of Swansea.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Swansea, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. It’s also wise to enable email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com to keep abreast of flash sales and special promotions, helping you potentially save on your stay. Additionally, the Smart Shopping feature in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring that if prices drop or availability changes, you're more likely to be the first to know for your last-minute getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you find better rates for your stay in a Swansea hotel. For those in search of something distinctive, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and can sometimes offer better value. When you make your reservation through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we can suggest alternative dates that could be more affordable, increasing the likelihood of finding a better deal.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive. However, with Swansea's superb public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found.
