Resort was nice looking in lobby , once you get to room, not well taken care of toilet seats werent the proper size absolutely filled with mosquitos, beds were missing legs. The food was awful except for the jerk chicken stand by the pool. The crew and staff were helpful and nice but i can only assume that other resorts were much better maintained and cared for. We spent most of our time at the hard rock hotel because we werent able to fully enjoy ourselves at Riu Republica. I would not be visiting again or referring anyone.

Key Cards always ends up not working, Ac Not working, awful sewer smell, bedroom had insects and and bed sheets were not cleaned properly. Tv in bedroom was damaged to a point where it was useless to watch. Not planning to return to this resort. Beach was beautiful tho.

This was the most dirty resort ever, one evening there was human poop 💩 all over the stairs. All public area was dirty and young group of people drink every where. Also there was people smoking marijuana every where. I will never return here or recommend anyone to stay here.

Let me start off saying, I stayed at a RIU resort in Jamaica and my experience was totally different from the location in the DR. My friend and I are currently here and have been disappointed the entire trip. Our room has not had A/C the entire time we’ve been here. I’ve submitted 10 request over the past three days and the staff is just closing out the ticket without fixing the problem. We even went to the front desk and asked to be moved to another room and still wasn’t moved. We are literally waking up and going to sleep hot and sweating. The room also has ants so I spent the first night being bit. The plates at the restaurants aren’t clean and some of the staff are using their bare hands to prepare the food on the buffet line. Something was floating in the drinking water also it smells like sewer on different parts of the resort. No face towels No straws(have to put your mouth on the cups) Dingy towels Dirty pool Now me and my friend both have upset stomachs and diarrhea and have a 4hr flight home. The staff at the front desk is very rude and don’t care about go customer service. We sat in the lobby for 2 hours waiting to speak to a manager. The manager never came and they kept making excuses. The security at the gate wood not let out driver in and we asked the front desk rep to call up there and she stated “I’m not call the gate, walk” I will NOT stay at another RIU Resort after this experience. This resort should not have a 5 or a 4 star review. Trip type

El hotel es increible, la pasamos espectacular. Solo sugiero que arreglen la cañeria pues en algunas zonas hay un olor muy fuerte. Por lo demas estuvo super, excelente comida, show, actividades.

You receive exactly what you pay for. If you're seeking a lively time at an affordable hotel, this is the ideal spot for you. Just ensure that you shut the balcony door, or else the AC won't function properly. The cuisine may not be top-notch, but it's not as terrible as some claim. There is a slight sewer odor in certain areas. The beach is stunning, though it can get a bit rough at times. The club, operating from 11pm to 3am, is absolutely buzzing. I had the chance to attend both the pink party and the beach party, and they were both fantastic.

This was the most horrible trip I ever been on was my wife first time out the country it was terrible first I paid extra when booking to be provided a room with an “partial ocean view” my balcony literally didn’t even face the ocean it was the exact opposite side of the ocean and was blocked by multiple palm trees all the drinks was horribly made all the “restaurants” was buffet style with food that looks like it was made the day before nothing was edible drinks was HORRIBLE nobody had any knowledge on how to make certain drinks one waiter was amazing that being sandy beside that EVERYONE else was horrible very unprofessional frozen drinks was coming to me freshly ordered literally already completely liquidated I will tell EVERYONE not to ever go here this is a horrible place to come and stay there is no room service there is one what I guess was supposed to be a steak house with the worst food I ever ordered in my life there was nothing to do offered very little excursions then the excursion I wanted to take part in “was not available at the moment” the only time I enjoyed myself was leaving this place and let me tell you I’m checking out tomorrow and I can’t wait to run out of here PLEASE do not come stay this places SUCKS
