Van Der Valk Hotel Dennenhof
"Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Great choice at breakfast and food & drink available all day. Good variety of well cooked & presented food. Spacious rooms in the annexe and choice of outdoor or indoor seating at the main building. Good facilities in the room."
Fletcher Hotel - Restaurant De Kempen
"Great service, fantastic room and food"
Van der Valk Hotel Gilze - Tilburg
"The facilities of the hotel are excellent. The only shame is the woodland cabins appear to be removing the kids playground. The reception staff at check in weren't very helpful, we had a tiring train journey and just needed a run around for the boys but they suggested outside of the hotel, they didn't realise they had a playground. Outside of the hotel, little Switzerland is lovely in the woods but there needed better pedestrian access from the hotel. The pool indoors is great, we had kids so couldn't g outside, but meant the indoors was great for the kids. The robot was a bit of a shame, we wanted to use for ice cream but if the phone is on mute you won't know it's there and we ended up with it an hour late, melted and no refund. Restaurant in the hotel - all the food is lovely, very tasty and something for most people."
Van der Valk Hotel Tilburg
"Great service, location and amenities. Will use again and recommend."
Colonie 7
"It is stunning. I had just booked via Expedia for one night en route from Lithuania / Poland back to Calais and LeShuttle, just on the basis that it was in roughly the right place. Tone was set by a great checkin with a wonderful receptionist who clearly liked working there (which is always a good sign). Ample free parking. Rooms were great, and place clearly so nice that I booked a second night. We used the additional day to hire electric bikes on site, and followed a recommended route (variety available) to explore the weirdness of the loopy Netherlands / Belgium border nearby. Safe cycling through lovely countryside and prosperous villages. Aiming to come back specifically to stay at this hotel. Positives: - Exceptionally pleasant and helpful staff; - Fascinating historic buildings . . . - Superb rooms (ours were, and I have no reason to suspect the rest aren't); - Electric cycle hire to explore well laid out and safe cycling network; - Plentiful onsite parking; - Great food including breakfast; - Lovely outdoor seating area to relax with a beer (other beverages available!); - (And for the really geeky, there's a chunk of V2 rocket on a plinth just past the car park). Negatives: - Pillows were too plump? (Trying really hard here!); - Mosquitos in the area - worth taking repellant (we had not)."
