Golf Hotel Kakamega

8/10 Good
"Our room was spacious, and came with a working refrigerator and hot pot. We had electrical outlets to the left and right of the bed which was very helpful for all the devices we need to charge. Outside there is wonderful green space so you can ealk around the hotel grounds for exercise. The food was the only drawback. If it was choma, then it was excellent but the regular kitchen was standard fare. All of it took 1-1 1/2 hours to prepare and they didnt take your order till they opened at 6pm so we were eating later than planned given our early morning start time. At times, we were served a few plates and the others came 15-20 minutes later. I would still highly recommend it for all the other features. The staff are EXCELLENT! Someone has taught them customer service!! We were always greeted with smiling helpful staff everywhere throughout the hotel."

For a thorough exploration of the region's landmarks, cultural sites, and historical attractions, a stay of at least 3 to 4 days is recommended. This duration allows visitors to enjoy attractions such as the renowned university and other significant cultural sites, providing great value for money for those travelling on a budget. With some luck, prices may drop further during these months, making this an even more budget-friendly option for travellers.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Kakamega, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates on nearby hotels as your travel date approaches. Additionally, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, helping you avoid missing potential savings. The Smart Shopping feature on the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring that if rates drop or rooms become available, you're likely to be the first to know, making it easier to secure your last-minute escape.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you potentially save on your stay at a Kakamega hotel. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we will suggest more economical dates, increasing the likelihood that you could secure a better deal.
  4. Consider your location: Staying nearer to key attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often comes with higher costs. For more affordable rates, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and ease of access to the places you wish to visit. Exploring independent hotels further afield can provide a more authentic and usually more affordable experience.
