"Our sea view room was fantastic with superb views over the sea and the sunset. Lovely hotel all round. Think the breakfast could be improved though with different breads (not cheap sliced loaves) and also fresh fruit salads like they used to have. We are returning next year though."

Starling Cloud, Aberystwyth by Marston’s Inns

Starling Cloud, Aberystwyth by Marston’s Inns

10/10 Excellent
"This is where we always stay in Aberystwyth. It is conveniently located on the edge of town with plenty of free parking. A flat 10-15 minute walk takes you right into the centre. The hotel reception is located in the pub next door, where there is a good choice of food. Secure access to the lodge is by key card. Unfortunately there is not a lift in the lodge, but it is only 2 floors. Our room was clean, comfortable and well equipped as was the bathroom. Working A/C was a bonus with our changeable weather. We have never been aware of any noise during our stays here, apart from maybe the odd door closing."

"We were given a warm welcome. At check in I discovered we both had rooms on the fourth floor. When I explained my health issues, she very kindly managed to move me to the second floor. Unfortunately the lift was not working, which is why the issue occurred. We were very pleased with our rooms. Breakfast was excellent. For the very reasonable price, this hotel was well worth staying at. If the lift issue is resolved, we would happily return."

With opportunities for fishing, sampling fresh seafood, and unwinding at the beach or a local bar, New Quay presents great value for money. Additionally, the charming port area adds to the overall relaxing atmosphere, making it a delightful getaway for history and culture enthusiasts.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to New Quay, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals section on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com to keep informed about flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you don’t miss potential savings. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make an informed choice. If room availability changes or prices drop, you’re more likely to see these updates first, facilitating your last-minute getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay in a New Quay hotel. If you're in search of something distinctive, boutique hotels may provide a more personalised experience and, at times, better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price tends to be on the higher side, we’ll suggest alternative dates that may be more affordable, helping you find the best deal possible.
  4. Consider your location: Opting to stay nearer to major attractions or city centres may offer convenience but often tends to come with higher costs. For more budget-friendly options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and ease of access to the sites you intend to visit. You might also look into independent hotels located further out, which are more likely to provide a more authentic and cost-effective experience.
