Radisson Blu Hotel, Larnaca

"The staff were amazing - very attentive - particularly at breakfast. Excellent breakfast choices, including non-dairy and gluten free options. The pool and the gym were very quiet - never crowded. 30 minutes walk to Finikoudes beach and great restaurants but the pool and restaurant, cafe and pool bar at the hotel were also great options. Watching the sunset from the bar on the 16th floor was beautiful."

"Excellent, modern hotel - the pool is great, included breakfast is pretty good and it's also a good, central location for getting to Larnaca or Ayia Napa / Protaras beaches. Only inconvenience is not the hotel's issue but one of ongoing roadworks that are taking forever to complete on Dhekelia Road which means you annoyingly lose some convenience since you have to take some backstreets and drive off-road to get to the hotel - hopefully that will be resolved soon."

LIV & CO SUITES & VILLAS

LIV & CO SUITES & VILLAS

8/10 Good
"The suites were very spacious and big enough for a family of four. The showers are a little small though. The balcony of the apartment was huge and with a big enough table for 6 or more. The facilities were good. Everything you could want. The whole complex is lovely and the kids loved the pools. It wasn’t full when we were there but think it would feel very busy if it was. The thing that lets it down is the outside area. The exit off the main road is uneven and not even a proper road as the buildings either side are not finished. It’s only about 25 metres but you have to drive slowly. The area of the complex is a little remote as it is on the outskirts of Oroklini. A car is a definite requirement to get around as you can’t really walk to anywhere. On the whole we had a fab time. It suited us as a family of 11 and 3 generations."

Gate Twenty Two Boutique Hotel

8/10 Good
"Good hotel in the center of Nikosia with nearby bigger municipal parking and good access to business and historical places of the city. Even on check in there were some misunderstands with reception trainee staff related to arranging the bill according to my company travel documents requirements, on check out everything was solved by hotel management in very professional and friendly way. Great place to have breakfast or just coffee in roof restaurant. Really good place for Nicosia where stay some time is the challenge."

Cleopatra Hotel

Cleopatra Hotel

8/10 Good
"The hotel is in a great location. The gym is rarely open. Evenings and Saturday only, closed all day on Sunday. So one of the extras you look for and pay for in a hotel is basically a waste of space! The pool in the Summer is packed, mainly children and families. It is also opened to the public for a fee from 10.0 am and on the days we stayed there was a queue every morning. So, paying hotel guests who do not get to the pool early enough struggle to get a sunbed. On the Saturday we used it, if we had been 15 minutes later, we would not have got a sunbed! It need more supervision to ensure hotel guests have priority and if adults are trying to swim, ask the children and families to leave a meter or so by the edge. I was NOT impressed. The pillows in the rooms are very low quality, small and lumpy. We asked for better pillows and was told, there are spares in the wardrobe! Yes, we had already found them and they were just as bad if not worse. It is NOT a cheap hotel and simple things like pillows are not even given a consideration for guests to get a good nights sleep. My partner and I used to stay at this hotel but stopped because it was very dilapidated and in need of upgrading. That work has been done, so we returned. The one good thing about the hotel previously was the breakfast. It was very good quality. Now, it's mediocre. Cheap sausages, not cooked. Never any fresh fried eggs, the bread was hard, no pastries. Even the teabags are very low quality now."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Nicosia

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Nicosia is during January, February, and December, when hotel prices are typically lower. For those on a budget, staying for at least 3 to 4 days is recommended to fully appreciate the city's significant landmarks, cultural sites, and historical attractions. Visitors can explore numerous museums, monuments, and theatres, as well as enjoy delightful cafes and shopping opportunities, all of which offer great value for money. Additionally, the prices for accommodation may drop during these months, making it an excellent time for a budget-friendly getaway.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Nicosia, begin by checking the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on hotels close to your travel date. Enabling email alerts or push notifications can keep you informed about flash sales and special promotions, helping you seize opportunities to save. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities easily. By staying updated on the availability and pricing of your preferred accommodations, you're more likely to secure a last-minute getaway at a great rate.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay in a hotel in Nicosia. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we'll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we’ll suggest more affordable dates that may enable you to secure the best deal.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre generally tend to be more expensive, but with Nicosia's excellent public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a little further out that remains well-connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often great value for money available. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
