Second stay at location. Staff very accommodating.

This was my first time to Hickory, NC. This is an old motel. The bed was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was clean. The TV has a firestick and the remote in the room did not control the TV. The office person had to come and log on to the TV and give us a different remote, it was irritating. So when I turned the TV on in the morning, I had to go through the same log on and use two different passwords. The location seemed to be OK, although there were screeching tires in the night and sirens.

The gentleman that checked us in and out was ver professional, friendly, and respectful. Although the room did not have a hair dryer or coffeemaker, the bed and shower made up for that.

Room was clean. Staff was friendly. The lights outside the room was very bright, I guess for security purposes. Also people was wondering around all night long outside my door.

Place has roaches! It’s terrible! Very dirty and nasty! Has homeless people everywhere! People knocking on your door all hours of the night! They don’t give u no towels nor clean the room! Blankets has burnt holes all in them. Also not located in a very nice area. Will never stay again! Do not recommend!

Reserved for 1 night stay when traveling with food for dinner and breakfast, needing freezer/refrigerator and microwave. Thought with partial kitchen having a heatimg surface would have silverware. Plates, some minimum cookware for extended stay. This was not the case. Bed was comfortable

My children and I stayed there was placed in rear building where locals rent rooms long term . No housekeeping, towels, soap, etc on request only. Shower only no safety bars . So many bugs , flies. Not knowing they took one penalty for not keeping new reservations. Don't get put in rear building. Wasn't enjoyable stay at all..

The pros - the room was spacious and clean; there was a large refridgerator, a microwave and a mini stove; the parking area was well lit; and the bed was comfortable. The morning clerk was friendly and professional on day two. The cons - The evening clerk was incredibly rude. I even asked him why he was speaking so rudely to me. He raised his voice because I asked him why he wanted $10 in cash. He kept repeating the single word "deposit"; however, I paid in advance. If it were for incidentals, there was no sign stating so, and it wasn't on their website. The room only had two very small pillows on each queen sized bed, there was only 2 sets of towels but I booked the room for 3. There wasn't shampoo, conditioner, or a hair dryer. Thankfully, there was a Walmart across the street. When I checked out the rude man was working again - he didn't speak when I entered the lobby, I offered him my room card, he didn't speak at all. He didn't thank me for staying there or wish me a nice day. These a the very basic expectations of customer service. I will not stay at this property in the future.

Reserved a non smoking room and once arrived we were checked into a smoking room that smelled like stale cigarette smoke and weed. Also the floors were in need of a major sweep. Only 2 pillows were on the bed and weren't fluffy. TV remote hardly worked the TV. Ac unit barely worked and the room stayed hot and muggy.

The room was clean the staff was very nice. The room was comfortable. The location I'm not sure about that ! But it's close to the hospital and that is the reason for my visit.

Strong smoke odor permeating towels and linens in this "non-smoking" room. Brown spots on bathroom ceiling.

2/10 Poor

The bed had huge pee stains in multiple places. Tv remote broken and taped up. Paper thin walls. I listened to the room next to me talk on the phone for hours hearing every word.
