Upon arrival I found the room to be really dirty, only one towel, the television wasn’t working, no toilet seat, a dry loogy in the sink, and the walls had what looked like boogers on it, so I went to request another room and the clerk did switch me. She took me to another room and she had me check to see if the toilet seat was good and I agreed. After she left, I began to notice the television didn’t work, I checked to see if it was plugged in and the cable was cut and there was no T.v. Plug. I laid on the bed to rest and the mattress was a 4” topper that was already worn down in the middle and the room had spider webs everywhere. I began to notice the room was pretty filthy and I found someones socks under the bed while inspecting the mattress for bed bugs (which I always do in hotels).
I then went back downstairs to complain and the clerk told me the hotel was going through renovations, which was not mentioned on the website. I then contacted Expedia.com so I could cancel my room. In the morning when I checked out, the staff told me I was going to get a refund and now they won’t answer their phone or return calls to Expedia.com in order give them an approval for my refund.
I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone, the pictures are not accurate and the place is pretty run down. Even the cab driver that dropped me off asked me “are you sure you really want to stay here sir?” That says a lot when a cabby asks you that.
