2/10 Poor

Aardvark Properties manages this property. I have stayed at over 30 different hotels in the Seattle vicinity over the last 5 years and the experience I had with Aardvark Partners was the worst. I had booked a room through Hotel.com (Expedia) and was sent a message indicating I would need to visit Aardvark Partners website to complete the reservation request. That began a series of issues that resulted in at least 10 email exchanges as we tried to resolve the problems at the website. The process they use is extensive and extremely intrusive. They require pictures, photo's of your Identification, e.g., drivers license, completed forms, a significant, non-refundable cleaning fee (even for one night stays), a large refundable damage deposit (which is reimbursed 5 business days after you have vacated). The process is impersonal, slow, excessively intrusive, very time-consuming and prone to issues that must be resolved via communications with customer service. I will not be staying at any properties managed by Aardvark Partners.

4/10 Fair

It seemed like a hassle to book a room here. We were told there was a welcome package. We couldn’t find the remote and there was no one on site to ask. I was told to go to a website which I was unable to access. I think the issue is no one is on site.

10/10 Exceptional

The train at night was very loud and kept coming every hour until I fell asleep at 3am. Overall owner did a great job at having earplugs and place itself is amazing!

8/10 Very good

It was within driving distance to a Starbucks, which I needed for breakfast the next morning. I cooked my dinner in-house. The room was spacious and had what I needed. There were some small issues, such as it's by train tracks and it went through during the night with its horn sounding (typical since it was going through town). There were earplugs available in the room, but I've learned to always travel with a pair. There was also 2 annoying sounds that I had to identify: One were the flaps outside for the laundry vent. The wind would catch them and they'd knock against the wall. The other I never did identify. I thought someone was playing a flute next door or upstairs. It apparently was the wind going through an outdoor pipe somewhere. It got to be rather annoying. Would I stay again, maybe, but I might check out another option first.
