Mediocre to Middling
The hotel and room reflected the affordability. Acceptable for a short necessary stay.

The staff are so amazing. The manger really took care of all my needs. Early check-in and just helped in my stay

Clean and Tidy Better than expected given the tariff Front rooms facing main road too noisy

I felt unsafe staying here as a lone female traveller and would not recommend it to anyone travelling alone - the only think that made me feel better was barricading the door with the chair in the room as the lock was loose

Pleasant and welcoming staff. Very helpful. We requested late checkout and this request was honoured immediately at reception. Noisy because of the location but the comfortable bed made up for it. The room was lovely, warm and cosy. Tea and coffee facilities with essentials such as shower gel handwash/ soap etc.

Ring to get into Hotel
No reception, when I got there, had to ring to get in, Television did not work, had to get another from a empty room, don't serve food and water, has a handy food cafe next door, get food and water there, transport too and from Birmingham is OK, Bus service is very close, it was OK to stay for the price.

Not Pay at Property beware.
Payment is taken in full 2 days before arrival. This is despite the booking as being Pay at Property. No communication and Hotels.com totally unhelpful

Poor
Very basic hotel, only 1 towel , very cold room despite radiator being on full. No room allocation before arrival. Oyos are all the same, very low quality, basic contractor hotels

You must be joking
Without doubt the bleakest, most depressing room I’ve ever stayed in. Pillow case was filthy, the whole place is run down. When the shower didn’t work in the morning that topped it. The attached photo was my “upgraded room”. As a very regular business traveler I was appalled by the whole experience. Best advice, stay somewhere else, stay anywhere else!!!

Work Stopover
Arrived at hotel but no one on reception, quickly a person came and then took me to my room. Room was clean and smelt freshly painted, bathroom functional but needs improvement. Unfortunately the bed wasn't of a great standard, pillows were terrible and the noise levels from the road and airport prevented me from sleeping. My colleague abandoned his room and booked another hotel elsewhere. I stayed for another night but wouldn't recommend here unless the noise levels are reduced a lot. No food on offer either. price paid was similar to much higher standard hotel nearby with Breakfast. On the plus side its 5-10 mins from the NEC.

just don't do it,
absolutely shocking place, took money plus a security off my card before arrival, would not give receipt, room was the worse I have ever had - in a converted kebab shop, smelt as bad as it sounds, next to main dual carriageway, complete dump. don't make my mistake avoid at all costs, still had Uber eats sticker on my bedroom window
Chris, 1-night trip

Worst place I have stayed.
I arrived and was led outside and across the road with barely a word by receptionist to a separate building. The entrance was full of building and decorating equipment and wss clearly not ready. When i mentioned this he just mumbled. I asked again and got similar rude response. My room wasn't fully decorated and definitely needed repairs. There was a smell of dust and paint throughout. I'd booked a hotel, i was put in a nearby outbuilding with no explanation or apology.

Only stay here as an absolute last resort.
This hotel is not located next to the NEC as described when I called. I had to take a tram followed by a bus to the opposite side of the airport runway. When I called the helpline was told “i dont know how to get there from the airport myself, can you not just get an Uber. This would be at a. OST of an added £23. The staff could not communicate at the hotel as English was broken, the door to the room would not lock so I had to prop a chair underneath the handle to secure it, the window handle was missing so I could not close the window, the room was dirty with the previous occupants shopping bags and receipts underneath the bed. When I asked what time the restaurant would be open to I was told we don’t have one you can either walk to the travel lodge down the road or have food delivered.

Very disappointing
The room was freezing cold the entire stay, even with the heating on full, there also wasnt any kind of heating in the bathroom. Ended up buying an extra throw for the bed at Morrisons to try and stay warm. No soap provided, had to buy our own, even though the hotel advises this is provided. Plugs in the room aren't even in suitable areas to use the kettle, we had to pull the bed out to plug the kettle in down the back of it on the floor, as all other plugs were too high up for the lead to reach a flat surface! The location isn't great, not near to any shops or convenient places to get food, and the hotel does not offer meals. If you haven't taken your car to get here, then taxis are needed to get anywhere. Overall, not a great stay.
Majella, 2-night trip

Never again, poor beyond belief.
Absolute shambles. This hotel is offering budget prices, but offering below standard accommodation. There is a gap in the market where a worker is just looking for a bed, and this is all they achieve. The shower was like showering under a broken tap and the water temp after getting the shower head replaced and the temp valve forced, was tepid or nothing. The cold tap was jammed and you had to hold the tap so you could turn it on. The TV was on a old mobile TV aerial which lost picture every minute or so. The furniture was recovered from skips or cheap charity shops. Tea and coffee was a small plastic bag of tea bags. On arrival I called the number to get my key, they had previously called me to ask what time i would be there, and I still had to wait 25 minutes for the key holder to appear. They do what they have to when asked, to a minimum standard, there is no proactive thought, just reacting to the guest finding faults for them. I was there for a week, as the ashes took up all the normal rooms in the city. The wifi was in and out. I had still spent over £200, and to put it politely I was happy to get home. I have ran out of things to say, to end on a positive note, it had a carpark. NEVER AGAIN.
