Odori

Odori Park's 1.5km green spine runs through Sapporo's heart, offering seasonal flower displays and dancing fountains. The iconic TV Tower watches over the scene while shoppers hunt for treasures at Tanukikoji Shopping Street. When winter hits, the famous Snow Festival transforms the area into a magical ice kingdom that draws visitors from around the world. Grab Hokkaido specialities like fresh crab or grilled lamb at restaurants ranging from casual ramen shops to upscale spots. Metro stops at Nishi-Hatchome, Nishi-Yon-Chome, and Nishi-juitchome make getting around super easy. Most businesses stay open from 10am to 8pm, with extended hours during festivals.

Susukino

Susukino brings Sapporo's nightlife to electric life with neon-soaked streets and endless entertainment options. Slip into ramen alley for steaming bowls of local specialities or hit up the countless izakayas where locals unwind after work. Getting around is a breeze with three subway stations connecting you to the rest of Sapporo. Hotels range from business-style to capsule accommodation, all within stumbling distance of karaoke joints and pachinko parlours. SAPPORO HOTEL by GRANBELL

SAPPORO HOTEL by GRANBELL

10/10 Excellent
"I stayed in a corner suite, which was spacious, bright, and comfortable. The parking garage was excellent and very convenient. The hotel is new, and the facilities are modern and well maintained. The staff was not particularly helpful, but given that this is a large hotel, I suppose you cannot expect too much in terms of personalized service. Overall, I had a good experience and would consider staying here again."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Sapporo

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Sapporo is during March, April, and November, when hotel prices tend to be lower. To fully appreciate the city's historical and cultural offerings, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is highly recommended. This duration allows you to explore key landmarks, enjoy local seafood, partake in festivals, admire the beautiful scenery and flowers, and experience the vibrant atmosphere through sightseeing tours. With sunny weather, you can also indulge in Sapporo's famous beer, enjoy shopping, and even hit the slopes for some skiing, all while ensuring great value for money.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Sapporo, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals section on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on nearby hotels as your travel date approaches. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available in the app allows travellers to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you stay informed about price drops or room availability, so you can secure a last-minute getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on various factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates may help you save on your stay at a hotel in Sapporo. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and, at times, better value for money. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average.
