This was a 1 night stay to travel to McDonald Observatory for a Star Watch party. This motel is nothing fancy but the staff are great. Foods and grocery store close by.

Just ok…photos are misleading
You need to have lower expectations. The room was not at all like the pictures. It was very run down. Over all it was clean, but in desperate need of upkeep & updating. The couch was broken and the beds were creaky. Outside didn’t feel very safe and we couldn’t get our door to deadbolt or windows to lock. Everything had a dilapidated feel which was kinda shocking after what the photos portrayed. We are a family of 6 traveling together and needed a place to sleep and shower between national park visits. However, the staff was very friendly. He let us pick from two rooms, provided extra towels and even helped find us some extra chairs so we could sit at the table together. For the low price, we got what we needed…beds, hot showers & a kitchenette to cook dinner together. All of the appliances did work well & there were no bugs. We just feel that the photos were very misleading.

The room was dirty. The bed had a mattress cover with a huge stain (under the fitted sheet). The toilet seat was completely detached from the toilet, and there was a kitchen sink drain in the floor. This place would need some work before I could recommend it

Totaly ok standard for that price. Low-budget place with no fancy features, but good possibilities to store your own food if you get a refrigerator in your room. Great service in general, I even had a ride to the station on the day of my department.

Roach Motel
I would suggest sleeping in your vehicle before staying here. There was a very nice maintenance/maid service man who I'm sure is doing the best he can with the facility's condition. We had no other choice of accommodations so we bought sheets, blankets, soap, shampoo, and bath shoes so we never had to touch the carpet. Just don't stay here.

The facility looks nothing like the image portrayed on the web site. False advertising. The room is minimal. One light fixture in the room and it was missing a cover. No night stand. Had not received a coat of paint or caulk in the bathroom in years. Piece of what was a TP holder on the wall. AC unit filthy. Curtain almost covered the window. There is a difference between quaint and NOT maintained.
