The Inn is charming and beautifully furnished. The gardens are beautiful. The innkeeper and staff were gracious and our room was decked out with complimentary Vermont treats. The breakfast was lavish - muffins, fruit, eggs, potatoes, sausage, freshly ground coffee and fresh-squeezed juice. We only did a quick overnight visit but next time it would be fun to stay longer to take advantage of the game room and the many books.

From the moment my wife and I arrived, we were treated like royalty. The owner Paul politely cared for our needs. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was clean. The whole house was wonderfully decorated with a warm and comforting feeling. The breakfast was the best we have ever had at a B&B. We would recommend you stay here anytime.

A lovely four day stay in Vermont. Inn was perfect, with gardens to enjoy and lots of lounges and nooks to spend time and read. We had a suite with a separate sitting room, which allowed us to have our daughter accompany us on a last minute visit. Paul and his staff are super accommodating and are genuinely friendly hosts. Paul also cooks all the breakfasts which are superb! Different breakfasts each day, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious!

We were greeted by the innkeeper and owner, Paul, who also checked in with us a couple of more times before we left the following day. The room was spacious and clean and inviting, and the inn was quiet. We were served complimentary snacks and drinks in our room, and an exceptional breakfast in the morning. Everything was great!

The Inn was so warm and comforting that it felt like home. It's beautifully decorated and you have access to the common areas where you can enjoy a game of pool, play piano, play a board game or find a nice book to read. The grounds are beautiful with flowers and plenty of seating. The owner Paul was very welcoming and included local snacks and sodas as well as waters in the room which I thought was a nice touch. The breakfast each morning was out of this world! Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the Brattleboro area.

The innkeepers are incredibly nice and welcoming. They get all the little details right—great bathroom products, free and tasty room snacks, good sheets, comfortable bed, etc. Lots of neat public rooms and spaces to hang out in. Quick and easy walk to Brattleboro’s downtown and restaurants. An AMAZING breakfast—delicious, creative, and very satisfying.

I have never felt so “home & cozy” at a professional establishment. The property is quaint and every corner has something different and special to be admired. There are several common areas that allow you to hang out, play games, read or even journal in front of a fireplace. There’s a pool table, endless selections of games, books and DVD’s for the guests use. The staff is friendly, attentive to your every need and the 3 course freshly prepared breakfast is better than anywhere I have stayed (I’m a foodie and travel a lot). The location is great and downtown is an easy 15 minute walk. I cannot recommend staying here enough and it’s truly one of a kind!

Highly recommend staying at the Inn on Putney Road! My husband and I came here for a relaxing and idyllic winter "babymoon" and this was the PERFECT place to stay! He surprised me with where we were going and what we were doing and it blew me out of the water! This was the best way to spend quality romantic time together at this charming, quiet (with a little bit of intimate "socialness" about the Inn with other guests that is extremely sweet), quaint, and welcoming inn. The grounds are romantic all covered in the snow with a beautiful view of the lake behind the home. We were kindly greeted (Paul and his staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming), explained everything about the home and room throughly, and told to make ourselves at home--and we did :) (sitting by the fireplace in the living room, playing pool and board games, grabbing delicious tea/coffee from the kitchen area, and relaxing in our room by the fireplace/enjoying the view of the lake). The food was SPECTACULAR! Paul is a fabulous chef and makes breakfast a special experience (and very accommodating to dietary restrictions). They have thought of everything to make this a wonderful overall experience. Area: Brattleboro (2 min drive away) has super cute stores and restaurants and it is fun to drive through the town and see all of the charming older homes. This Inn stay offers quintessential Vermont charm and we cannot wait to come back to see it's beauty in the Summer (perhaps with baby along for the ride)!

Very nice stay at the Inn, The owner, Paul, was very accommodating and has thought of most everything you could need. His breakfast was awesome, only wished we could have stayed for the second morning's meal. Was nice to sit in yard and enjoy the surroundings. Only critique is an update to the plumbing in bathroom as the handles were not very cooperative.
