A beautiful hotel
This is a lovely old hotel, but the room I was given (204) is at the top of the lobby stairs and was very noisy. I was awakened several times by noise from the lobby and kitchen. I'm certain other rooms are quieter.

Second stay and loved it again
Lovely historic building, clean and comfortable rooms in small town Kansas. Very nice staff, too. A great alternative to chains along I-70.

Our room was very small. My husband and I are small people and it was very hard to walk to the bathroom without being in the other ones way. Other than that, the room was fine and a step back in time but very pricey. Just not what I expected. Maybe I should have known from the era of the motel. The staff were friendly and helpful. There’s not much to do in town. We did have the BEST breakfast at the diner just a few blocks away called Made From Scratch. We also toured the missile silo which was only a few miles away. We also had dinner at the motel restaurant and it was very good. If you like staying at old historic hotels you would probably enjoy this motel. Also just basic amenities.

Biking to the eggs!
We absolutely loved it. Our room was so beautiful. We loved the windows and the double sinks and comfy beds. We enjoyed borrowing the hotel bikes and riding around to locate the 8 eggs. Dinner was excellent! We also enjoyed sitting in the garden as night set in.

Everything was great. We love this place. It's a really old hotel with a Restaurant downstairs. Was like going back in time. We love doing off the highway stuff.

Very unique building. Loved the history and the music on the back patio. Only drawback was the window above our door let light in and it shined in our face which made it hard to sleep.

Very nice staff, rooms clean and comfortable. Unique place that is not your cookie cutter hotel! Very beautiful and quiet place to stay. The only con would be that there was nowhere to get anything to eat after 7pm in town. Had to drive about 20 minutes to another town to get dinner, otherwise stay was perfect! Would definitely recommend!
