Beautiful hotel right on the beach
My wife and I stayed here 1 night during a week-long trip to Greece. We stayed at 5 different hotels during the week, so we have experiences with several Greek hotels for comparison. We stayed at Hotel Vriniotis during the "low" season at the end of April 2015. There appeared to be only 4-5 other guests staying at the hotel during that time. As a result, the hotel restaurant was closed, but the desk clerk offered to make us some food if we wanted.
The room was spacious, clean, and typical of Greek hotel rooms (queen bed with no box spring). The bathroom offered a stand-up shower with a sliding door (no bathtub). Hair dryer was provided, as was an in-room safe, towels, and travel soaps. The room we were given was on the 3rd floor and faced the ocean & beach, complete with a balcony with two chairs and a small table. We left the balcony door open and listened to the sounds of the ocean all night.
The hotel can be challenging to find without a GPS. It's in a secluded area at the end of a road, right on the beach. The beachfront is rocky, not much of a sandy beach, but the view is wonderful and it's nice to relax so close to the water and still be right next to your hotel.
Since we opted not to eat in the closed restaurant (though it was offered), we drove to Pyrgos (about 15 minutes away) and got some takeout Greek souvlaki. There isn't much near this hotel, but it was a great option for spending a night prior to traveling to Ancient Olympia, about 40 minutes away.
