Where's the hot water?
The first 2 nights, the water was great but it was barely lukewarm the last 2 days. I could never get anyone to get my bag, so after waiting 50 minutes, I tried to bring them down myself. One bag fell down the steps and is noy broken.

Yo había considerado este punto como determinante para hospedarme ya que el que un hotel incluya el desayuno es un punto de ventaja ante otros hoteles sobre todo en la zona de San Miguel Allende, pero falló en este aspecto. Hacienda de Las Flores is a beautiful hotel, centrally located, just two blocks from El Jardin. What I loved most was how quiet it was. Gael who works at the Front Desk has the sweetest personality and was very kind and helpful, as were the two women who also work at the Front Desk. Breakfast was very good. A nice option would be to have coffee available for guests, before breakfast is served at 8:00 a.m. The garden area is pretty and the rooftop views are spectacular. My only dissatisfaction / complaint is the mattress in the Basic Room absolutely needs to be replaced. It was uncomfortable to sleep on and completely sagged on one side. Also the lighting needs to be improved in the room...it was dark.

Good overal, i would say that our room need it a little of TLC it could improved Need it hooks to hang towels it had kitchen but no soap for dishes or paper towels and jo pots ir pans to ise. Then 2 times q did not have water we called and it got fixed but one time Sunday the office was open at 8 and we need ot to shower at 7 and no water and no office staff. Office staff and kitchen staff was great always willing to help.

A Visual Feast.
The hotel has great charm and is just close enough to the main square of SMA. I don't know how old the hotel is but it's definitely from another era. And that does come with a slight trade off. You're not likely to find USB plugs in the wall outlets. And the water has to run for a while to get hot. But that's a trade off that I had no issue with to feel like I was being transported to another period in time. It's one of the more beautiful compounds I've stayed at. Small and well kept. Also, the beds are nice and firm without being like a board. All of my sleep was very restorative.

My stay was filled with courteous service, and lots of charm at an exceptional price, a very short walk from the center of San Miguel de Allende. During the heat of the day, it was such a pleasure to sit in the beautifully landscaped courtyard, either in the shade or in the pool. Given the proximity to restaurants and shops, I never felt pressured to be out all day. Instead, I could pace myself and come back for a brief rest as needed. The price was phenomenal given that breakfast and bottled water were included. I would definitely stay again!

My room was large, comfortable and quiet. I enjoyed my stay immensely. I was there the first week in August and it’s hot out. Unfortunately, the pool water is quite warm too so a dip isn’t as refreshing as I’d like but hey, there was a pool right outside my room and it was lovely to look at and to sit by too.

The Hacienda is in a great location just a short distance from almost all the places you might want to visit in San Miguel. There have valet parking for $350MX/night and a full breakfast is included. The courtyard is beauty and has ample seating both covered and for sun worshippers by the lovely pool. We had two rooms and both were large and quiet and had very nice bedding. The rooms and bathrooms are quite outdated, however, and our second floor room got pretty stuffy without air conditioning, although the two ceiling fans made a big difference and usually by an hour after sundown the temperatures are great. I do think the rooms could use a makeover, but overall we were happy with our stay.
