10/10 Exceptional

Arrived very early and just stopped to get a recommendation on where to watch the football game. George recommended a place really close by and also allowed us to checkin. Cabin 6 was cute. There were two bedrooms, a couch, chair and table with six chairs. Plenty of closet space to put your stuff away since we were going to be there for a week. Shower size was as big as could be. Toilet space was tight. Water pressure and temperature was fine. Towels are exchanged every other day. Easy process. Pool was closed as it was after Labor Day. Hot tub was available but we didn’t use any of the amenities. Each cabin had a front porch, a patio with picnic table, grill and lots of chairs. The cabin also had a stove, refrigerator with small freezer, toaster, coffee pot with filters, microwave and all the dishes you would need. ( they can loan you almost anything needed). The only negative we had was the plates were not microwave safe. No worries, we just used paper. Thanks George and Jocelyn

I loved the location of this property. So easy to access and in the perfect location for all the area attractions! Super cute little two bedroom cabin for less than the price of a hotel room! The kids had a blast at the onsite playground, swimming pool and bike trail with free bike rental. They even provide a charcoal grill with charcoal and lighter fluid! You really can't go wrong booking here! I highly recommend it!

2/10 Poor

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! Where to start. First I walk into the cabin and my allergies go crazy. Normally from black mold, but can't say for sure. Walking across the floor and there are several places that it sags making you trip and you feel like you are going to fall through. Mouse droppings. Extension cords throughout the place that look old, nasty, and could short out any minute. Step into the shower and you feel like you are going to fall through the floor. The refrigerator was making enough noise to make you think it was going to short out. Took a plate out of the cupboard (yuck), immediately put it back and we ate out every day. The bed was comfortable but woke up with, what appeared to be, bug bites. The AC worked, and the tv worked. Worse place I have ever stayed in.

4/10 Fair

The property was decent, fairly outdated. The host however was terrible, very poor customer service (unfriendly, unwelcoming). There is a $200 cleaning charge you can expect to pay disguised as a deposit- I completed their extensive list of cleaning requirements and left the unit spotless, only to be called a "disgusting liar" by George via text and charged the $. This man should not be in the hospitality business, would not recommend.

Great stay!
We had a wonderful family Vacation. Thank you George & Jocelyn owner's of Black Hills Quail. Our suite was perfect. Great having so much space. Loved biking, ( nice to be on such a great trail) swimming, panning for gold, horse shoes, volleyball. Everything was perfectly located.
