The staff was very friendly, and helpful. However, the beds were NOT comfortable at all, also, it's an older hotel so it took a good 15 minutes to get hot water up to the 5th floor for a shower. Everything was great - my new fave spot.
The room was spotless, the mattress was just the right firmness. And every interaction with the desk staff was super pleasant and helpful. Also, the hot breakfast bar offered three different options the three different days I stayed there - which makes a difference over the course of a longer trip! Another thing that sets this hotel apart - the roaring fire and the fact that when I looked out my window, I saw nothing but trees - right in the middle of downtown Raleigh. So peaceful!

Not Hilton Grade A Hotel
The hotel is an older one. You can see the oldness within the room. But it still worth the stay. The fitness center in the basement is sort of unusual, cold and isolated. The breakfast staff were amazing. However, the housekeeping staff needs improvement, not up to par. Very disappointed not recognized as a Hilton Honors Member.
