You get what you pay for
It seems this hotel is being renovated. Some things are new and wonderful (including the showerhead); others old and problematic. The bolt on my door didn't work, nor did the blow-dryer. The toilet clanks when one sits and both the desk chair and the mattress felt like a block of wood. The walls desperately need painting but the linens are very nice. So for the price it's fine, but not great.

My smoke free room smelt HORRIBLE. Like 50 people had been smoking in there. Even the pillows and sheets smelt like cigarettes. The tv didn’t work. The lobby was terribly decorated.

Property needs renovation. Mattress was extremely dirty, hole in ceiling in bathroom, floor was dirty, comforters were dirty and worn out. Checked in and checked right back out.

AC doesn’t work
Our AC wasn’t working. I checked into the room and it was 90 degrees in the room. I turned on the AC and reloaded the kids up to go eat while the room cooled down. We came back a while later and it was still 90 with no air blowing out of the unit. I called the front desk and no one come after an hour. My son walked down to the lobby to let them know that it’s still not working. The lady said it’s because we are leaving our door open and letting all the cold air out. I did open the door waiting on maintenance because it was a sauna in the room and with the door open the temperature dropped to 77 since it was raining outside. Final an hour after that the maintenance man showed up and without looking at the AC he told me it’s because the door was open. I shut the door to show him how hot it gets and immediately the thermostat started moving into the 80’s. He messed around with the unit for a minute and put it on the exact same settings I had it on and he told me that I had the heater on but now it’s on the AC. We let it run for a minute and then it completely stopped again. I loaded up my kids and dogs and left. My dogs were in destress and my kids were sweating. They tried not to give me a refund but once I threaten the vet bill they finally gave me a refund. There are people there that live there and they sleep with their doors open with fans at the door blowing air into the room.

The property is a great value for the price. It’s in a convenient place, close to everything and the owners are so friendly and helpful. We arrived before check in time but our room was ready and we were given our keys with no hassle. It is an older property but our room was exceptionally clean.

This property was awful. People live here with dogs & cats and it stinks horribly. 2 large dogs & a puppy in a room and they put us right above them. The smell was horrendous. It was July 4th week and we couldn't find anywhere else so we were stuck! The full time renters take up all the parking spaces with multiple vehicles that don't run, one was even on blocks. The large U Haul truck in the back with a chair beside it and the grocery carts suggests they're allowing vagrants to stay in the parking lot as well. I can't help but wonder if these people are charged for sleeping in the parking lot! The screaming, yelling and fighting in the parking lot at 3 am is indicative of drug use! I have multiple pictures of everything I've claimed here and hope that Expedia will reach out and ask for them!!! I can back up every allegation I've made! Don't book this hotel, you will wish you hadn't.

For a 1 night stay for a wedding it wasn't that bad. No breakfast for the price you paid. Owners lived on premises. Teenager kids were in the pool that lived there for years. Very friendly.

I had to go to the front desk at 5 AM to get towels, clothes, and soap to shower. The sheets had stains. It was a last minute trip and the location to downtown Dahlonega is great.

This hotel might have been good the first day it opened. Long term folks there. Room had clothes in drawer when we checked in. Hole in walls and ceiling in shower coming down. Only stayed here because of pet friendly. Very rough place!
