Not bad for a budget room. Was very cheap, but the room didn’t necessarily reflect that. First, the immediate area feels kind of abandoned, so it puts you on edge. You kind of wonder what you got yourself into, but never fear because Cracker Barrel is just a three minute walk down the street. Walking inside the front door and reception reeks of cigarette smoke. That had me questioning if the room would smell bad too. Fortunately, and to my surprise, it did not. The room looked and smelled clean. The towels were soft and smelled fresh. The bed was a pleasant sleep with clean sheets and soft, fluffy pillows. The shower was hot and the pressure was good. The room reminds you that it is a budget room, but it wasn’t a miserable experience like so many budget stays often are. Solo traveler, one night, exceeded low expectations.
