Clean and spacious, but kitchen/dining area smelled badly of heating oil fumes (from Aga stove). Was a self service continental breakfast, completely UNSTAFFED. I was the only guest during my visit.

Knock Rushen House
The property inside and out is exceptional and in a great position for the lovely Castletown. Sea views are superb and had a lovely stay in a very relaxed atmosphere.
We visit the Island every three months and this is one of the best places to stay particuarly if you like it quiet.
Many thanks

Although we never met the staff in person, I did make a phone call and receive text messages promptly from Jo, the Housekeeper, who was very friendly and informative.

Excellent place to stay
The pictures on the website are exactly what Knock Rushen House looks like. It is amazing. The House itself is absolutely beautiful. We had a very large room with a king size bed and an en-suite which was extremely clean and fresh. Coffee and tea was available all day and night which was great. There was a very large kitchen/dining area which was also spotless. There was an amazing selection of food available for breakfast with fresh bread every day. The area was very quiet with only the sounds of the sea, very peaceful. The views were stunning and the garden was huge with a hot tub available at any time. We stayed for 3 nights and did not get disturbed once by other people staying or any noises outside. I would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful and peaceful Hotel.

Nice country house turned into a hotel. Still working on it. My room was big and everything worked. Decorated in a gay centric fashion. Nice details like a glossy bathroom ceiling. Drapes didnt really block light. They had kayaks and bikes to use. A great bath nearby. Bus from airport was under 2L. Returned early enough to catch earliest flight. They had a nice breakfast. It was a little odd that the fridge was stocked. Not sure if it was other guests or the owners food. I found the island extremly tranquil. Great vibe. One negative _ planes fly overhead. Not too often though.
