4/10 Fair
11 March 2019
I did not have a good experience but it was potentially situational. I booked through Expedia, but when I arrived the hostel did not receive my booking. They had overbooked a large group of Spanish university students. The hostel was full of locals and had very few actual travellers (one of the reasons I wanted to stay in a hostel was to connect with other travellers). Staff kindly gave me a private room which was a bed in a tiny room with no window. Again I had wanted to connect with people so it was less than ideal but I nice solution to having no bed at all. I weight 100lbs and had a hard time fitting in the mixed gender showers which were dirty and had little to no privacy, just a tiny curtain for a reall’y small s’ace (Again I am tiny and it was tiny for me). Kitchen was well equipped. After one night I left to Planeta Lindo up the road, paid the same price and was greeted warmly by staff, given guidance with booking my bus tickets, tips on local g’uten Free places (I’m celiac), and the kitchen was on top floor over looking the whole city. Overall well worth the sea app, and there were travellers from all over the world at Planeta Lindo.
