Ok stay but should update it's in renovation.
The staff is friendly and very polite, and waited for us for late checkin.
However, the place is under renovation, should have stated that in the listing as it doesn't look good from the outside and the only one 'outdoor' onsen is surrounded by construction and is hardly 'outdoor'...

Steamy location
Located in the Centre of the thermal areas, with steam rising out of the vents on the roads around it. Traditional place, with relaxing onsen, and walkable to the restaurants and the main 7 pools of beppu
