Verdura is the kind of resort where the options for the day are endless - whether that be languid days by the beach or the pool, or an active day of golf, tennis, or even Padel! The rooms are amply sized and the Irene Forte toiletries are divine, and the twice daily turn down service keeps everything pristine. We also loved travelling everywhere on site with the free bicycles that were scattered across the property.
We went here for our honeymoon as a conduit to this region of Sicily and it is every bit as heavenly as you might imagine with bucolic rolling hills against the backdrop of the ocean. Splendid.
My only criticism is that so many activities are chargeable! I have stayed in many hotels and most don’t charge for tennis/Padel courts and non-motorised water activities (eg SUP, kayaking). If you decide to pursue these activities, it is well worth having a coach lesson (Tom for golf and Leo for Padel were fantastic). The food is excellent but also expensive so I recommend having the occasional dinner at one of the many excellent trattorias in the Sciacca city centre.
Overall, a lovely stay!
