I just escorted my young daughter, who had to appear in an Exam. at NID, Ahmedabad.The booking was from sixth of March to ninth noon of March, 2026. The stay for the first two days were uneventful and o.k. with us. On the day of our departure, i.e. on ninth of March, we had a scheduled Flight booked, starting onwards journey at 7-15 PM. Accordingly we did approach the Hotel Manager and requested him whether we can leave our luggage at the lounge, as we would leave the hotel after taking lunch from the hotel itself and would be back in the afternoon for collecting our luggage and start our airport bound journey around five in the afternoon and made the all our payments due to the hotel. The hotel Manager conceded to our request and informed us that he would make our hotel stay to 'Checked Out' status, as it was a system bound requirement. While ready to leave the hotel at around 12 o'clock at the noon we ordered the hotel for our lunch. We were served the lunch at 2-15 PM. After finishing our lunch, I looked at my mobile screen for any update on our flight information and found that our flight would be delayed for at least two hours.I did instantly contacted the hotel manager and enquired whether we may overstay for two more extra hours as our flight has got delayed.He conceded to our request by charging Rs. 1,000/- extra for the overstay. I did pay the extra amount to him and decided to wait in the room. And then happened the climax; deliberate power-cut of our room.
