Ideal for a couple of nights on the island. Really enjoyed going to Oistins fish market area for dinner both nights - highly recommend!! Local buses to/from v cheap โ€˜n cheerful but a bit of risk (speed, safety etc) Maxwell del Mar is a well run small but very comfortable 3* hotel - great for travel on a budget ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

I had a lovely stay in Maxwell del Mar. My room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and it was very close to a lovely beach. Bus stops are right outside the hotel and it was a very good option for a solo traveler.

We stayed here for 2 weeks in February and it was the perfect base for our holiday - it is a small hotel with just 10 rooms but it suited our needs perfectly for a reasonable price for Barbados. Being on the main road you can hop on a bus to Oistins, Bridgetown and anywhere in between! Itโ€™s a short walk to Dover beach and from there the Gap. A quick mention to Hal and Matthew 2 members of staff who really made our stay - they are both super helpful and really friendly and a credit to the hotel.
