This was the perfect spot for our family to stay before kicking off our Golden Circle day trip. The facilities were spotless, the morning breakfast was a hit for every single family member as well and the staff were lovely. Perhaps the highlight was the Northern Lights dancing right outside our windows.

Amazing place
Our stay at this hotel over New year was nothing but a pleasure, from the minute we stepped into the hotel to the minute we left we were always welcomed. We even seen the northern lights on NYE! Breakfast was lovely and the family room we had was big and spacious. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel has lots of places to get food within a 2 minute walk along with 2 supermarkets. We will definitely be back 😊

A decent Hotel, good location and free parking. The rooms are solid but the bathrooms need an update (I’ve stayed in 3 different rooms the last couple of months). This was my 3rd time staying at Laxnes and it is always a joy. Great staff, clean rooms, breakfast spread is very solid. It is easy to get on Bus #15 to get into the center of Reykjavik. Would highly recommend this hotel!
