Close to city centre and public transport, but affordable. Rooms comfortable. Felt safe travelling in the evening, even if you’re a female solo traveller. The red cafe bakery in Castle St, 25-50metres down from the Ibis does lovely affordable rolls, sandwiches and cakes that I recommend, and very friendly staff.

The reception staff were all very friendly and helpful. The whole hotel looked smart and the room was very clean. The only downside was a very unpleasant smell in the bathroom which was there for the whole of our stay
