Great location. Lots of good places to eat nearby. No in room coffee and no refrigerator was out of normal expectations. Bed and pillows great.

6/10 Good

As long as you read the reviews and take note of the lack of A/C, daily parking fee, late-night noise, and limited amenities, you should be fine. While the property definitely needs some overall TLC, we had no issues during our stay, and we had multiple friends who rented rooms there as well. The main highlight is the location, as it’s within walking distance of the beach and boardwalk, as well as plenty of restaurants, bars, and shopping.

The location was great can't beat it for the price.

It is a funky motel without AC. The staff is very nice. Parking is $10 a day. You are a block from the beach and that makes this motel amazing. It is walkable to so many restaurants, grocery stores, shops, etc.

Good location for walking beach attractions. Comfortable beds. No coffee maker/mini-fridge. Popular location for college kids bar hopping. No air conditioning in rooms.

2/10 Poor

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The price may seem appealing but it will be a huge regret. The lights in our room didn’t work. There was blood that wasn’t ours found on the sheets and the room got so hot since there is NO air conditioning that it set the fire alarm off. Keep your money!!! No matter how awesome this location seems or how appealing the price.

2/10 Poor

No AC in room heat wave in San D bad combo. Hotel right on a Very loud busy street. It is an easy walk to beach, shops and restaurants. Will Not stay again. Try The Shoal just up the road

The location is great! Very family friendly. Very helpful staff. Comfortable rooms for the price. We will most likely stay there again.

You have to ask for towels. They put all the smoking rooms downstairs and the fumes rise up filling the 2nd floor non smoking with fumes. Location is great. They should tear these down and build a really nice high rise motel

It was good. Close to the beach, to restaurants, to shops. All in walking distance. Will definitely stay there again.

There is no ac, the rooms are very outdated. The outside was very clean and staff was great.

I loved Motels location, everything was in walking distance. Motel was doable for stay. Only downfall was it had an old smell. The area did not have any hotels, more like Hostels, Beach dorm like and cottages. Overall I was pleased with my stay and with the helpful staff. I’d definitely come back.

This place is in a great location for walking to many restaurants, bars and the beach. If you are going to San Diego to hang out in a hotel / motel room, this is not your place. You cannot beat the price and location.

This is an older motel. You’ll get a clean room, working shower with a great location. Not fancy, not high end. Staff was nice and it was perfect for what we needed.

6/10 Good

The best thing about mission bay motel is the location, it is close to everything! It seems to be a work in progress. .There are no amenities, wi-fi service unreliable, no ice or soda machines. T.V. did have lots of channels and the management team were very nice

Checked in 3 hours early and they had our room nice and clean. The owner was super helpful. Her staff was amazing! Only a few blocks away from the beach. We only stayed one night, but very nice.

The facility is pretty old but it definitely delivers what it promises. The position is very good, it’s close to everything you need.

Pretty dirty place. Wanted to wear slides in the shower. Room was about 90 degrees. Staff was nice enough and location is what you’re paying for. Curtains broken with rod and hangers on the floor. Could be kept better

8/10 Very good

Dumpy staff, dirty property, didn't get any accoutrements like ice bucket, toilet paper, or clean sheets, loud area and neighbors(buy ear plugs) but still giving 4 stars as it's the cheapest motel in OB right across from the beach and down the street Garnett with all the nightlife. Park your car and walk around and enjoy SD beaches and life...
