The room had recently been redone. Great lighting in the bathroom above the mirror. Poor lighting in the bed area. A single chair would have been nice to have in addition to the bed. Also, missed having Kleenex available. The heater wasn’t working the first night and there was no way to get a hold of anyone. It was taken care of the next day and we were happy to have heat and be warm the second night.

The room was clean and smelled very strongly of cleaning products. There were some deposits outside on the deck I thought were food left from someone. They proved much harder to remove. But when I asked for help, someone came immediately to try to clean it. I really appreciated that. Watch out for the parking lot risers, especially at dusk. I fell hard after tripping on one and broke 2 ribs. Not fun. Overall nice place, great ocean view.

Nothing is better than a clean, affordable, safe, and nice room when it's sunny at the Oregon Coast! Even though it was spring break for the kids in OR, I was able to book this spot last minute, for a solo fun trip. It's right next to the beach, and down the road from stores and restaurants. Even though it's an older property, it's been kept up, and I had a great night's sleep.

The front desk staff were friendly, welcoming, and quick on check in / check out. The kitchen was fully equipped, which we really appreciated. Beach access was super close. It was quiet overnight too! The only thing I'd recommend is to bring your own pillow, unless you like the memory foam ones. All the pillows were memory foam. We will be back next time we plan a trip to Rockaway!

Our stay was only 1 night, but if we could've we would have stayed 3 or 4! We were so pleasantly surprised the moment we went inside. The room was spacious, kitchenette, 2 bathrooms and electric fireplace!! And a living room. So comfortable and clean. Also pet friendly. Easy beach access and it was quiet with very nice staff at the desk. We didn't use the pool, but we will next time! The entire place is very clean and lots of updating. All of this on the last weekend of spring break. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

The ocean view rooms have the best views and are the shortest walk to the beach. Very clean but outdated as far as the interiors which isn’t a problem at all for me because cleanliness matters more than drape color. If carpet color triggers you then this might not be a spot for you. The patios are HUGE!! It was so quiet! I’d definitely return. The pool is open until 10PM. Our room had a kitchen which had all the necessities.

I would choose to stay here again solely because of the location of the hotel. It's right on the beach! The hotel is old and has outdated furniture and decor. However, I can over look that as I'm here to enjoy the beach not spend all day in the room. My first night here was very cold as the heater wouldn't work . The next day when I complained, maintenance came up and fixed the problem immediately. Like I said it's an old building in need of renovation but it's also a hidden gem and worth it for the price.

Nice location. Easy beach access. Shabby room, grey sheets, family suite had a sagging very small love seat. Pink and blue 1985 bathroom. Updates poorly done. No comfy balcony chairs. Interior, just ick! Coffee pods do not work in machine provided. Only restaurants nearby are pretty awful. Bad pub food in filthy restaurants and Mexican. Next year, we'll stay in Manzanita. At least we had good weather.

The Surfside Resort is definitely an older place, like so many along the OR coast. Our oceanfront queen suite room was very clean, esp the sheets and towels. A fireplace was a nice touch but not really needed in July. The biggest positive….right on the beach. An amazing sunset was on tap for our final evening in OR.
