The hotel was perfect for coming in late at night from thr airport or just before flying out. I stayed her twice on my recent trip to Iceland and it was perfect. It is closest to the airport and they have an airport shuttle service. They have some construction going on, however, the hotel is very clean and relaxing.

The property was undergoing major construction which it failed to mention anywhere. We could not find where to enter the building. Once we did, we were surrounded by a grassy area full of trash where smokers gathered, and a dirty door and entrance area. The lobby was badly lit, everything was very dark. Our twin bed room on the first floor had easy-to-reach but very dirty windows. One pillow only and one duvet blanket only per bed. It was the least attractive hotel and hotel room of our stay but it was a large space, although in dire need of more furniture, such as night tables. Airport shuttles are offered to the airport only on the hour, surprising given it’s just an 8-minute drive away

Everything was wonderful bathrooms were great and it was very quiet. Staff was great the only thing was in the room we were staying in there was a weird stain on the sheets and the people before left socks that hadn’t been cleaned up.

Stayed in one of the family rooms. Very spacious overall, but you may find the bathroom counter space a bit limited with six guests. Generous sitting area in room. Facility was very clean overall. Excellent restaurant on-site, with many grab-and-go options in the reception area. As of February 2025, there was some construction to the foyer, but associated noise was mitigated as much as possible. Location of hotel (former military base) is conveniently close to Keflavik Airport and Blue Lagoon, but limited in amenities, especially early in the morning.
