Room was decently sized and clean. It came with free water and a bottle of beer (nice touch). The bathroom is small but functional. However, the building doesn't have an elevator. Arrival by car is quite complicated, because of construction in this part of town. No parking around the building, but the closest public (underground) parking is a short walk. However, it is very expensive.

Modern clean basics, stairway hazardous

Pro: brand new, thoughtful, efficient design of small room. Free tea and coffee at the entrance, welcome water and beer in the room. Good low-loft pillows and mid-season comforter, comfortable mattress, rare in the hospitality industry. Con: stairway renovation was incompetent -- step heights differ one to the next, major trip hazard. No bed reading light nor bedside stand.

there is no staff at all in the hotel. We had problems with our room upon arrival as the AC was not functioning during a very hot day and the wifi was not working either. We tried to contact staff through the phone number provided in the room, but the phone number was not working so there was no way to reach anyone. they never replied to a message sent through hotel.com either. However, the room was very fine, a little bit dusty and stuffy but clean and comfortable enough. Okay for one night but would not recommend due to the unavailability of the staff.

The location was excellent and Bamberg is such a beautiful place. I was aware the place had no front desk, no services and all is handled via email and a login code. I was told no maid services but did notice that someone entered the room every day to enter the trash. Frankly, it made me feel uncomfortable. The room itself was spacious, clean with a modern bathroom. No elevator, two flight of stairs to get to the room. For a welcome refreshment we had a bottle of water and a bottle of beer. Definitely a first for me. The coffee was at the ground level, making it inconvenient to walk down all those steps to get a cup of coffee.

Great location, clean rooms, cozy bed. Easy to check in. Sweet of them to leave a complementary beer and water. My only complaint was the coffee machine didn't work in the morning (i think it need water or more coffee) but overall great stay for a night in the city.

Eigentlich ein schönes Zimmer in guter Lage, aber... Wie kommt man auf die Idee eine ca 7cm hohe Stufe als Stolperfalle in ein Hotelzimmer einzubauen? Der Innenarchitekt muss geisteskrank sein! Auf jeden Fall ist meine Frau in der Nacht auf dem Weg zur Toilette dort abgerutscht, umgeknickt und hat jetzt einen komplizierten Trümmerbruch, welcher nächsten Donnerstag operiert wird. Vielen Dank dafür! Und ich bin mir 100% sicher,. dass dort immer wieder kleinere oder größere Unfälle passieren!
