No refrigerator in the room. I can understand no microwave, which it didn't have either, but usually I expect a small fridge to store a bottled water to keep cold. Other than that, the room was clean and the bed was comfy.

Not for the price!
This room would have been ok for $79/night. Maybe in today’s economy, up to $129. However, I paid over $600 for 2 nights and felt like it was highway robbery. There were ants in the bathroom and main room. The window to the front patio didn’t seem to lock. There was a king bed and small office chair by the vanity area, but no mini fridge or microwave. There was supposed to be a hairdryer in the bathroom, but only a steel plate was mounted on the wall.
The receptionist was nice, but I wouldn’t recommend this “inn” to anyone unless you’re looking for a cheap motel, and $300+ per night is anything but cheap. Yes, it was move-in weekend at UCSB (which is why I was there) but there should be some type of law against the price hike.

I will never stay here again
The floor was not clean. The shower curtain was about 12 inches too long & got soaked with my shower. The toilet seat wasn’t centered on the toilet. The sheets on the bed were not smooth, but had little bumpy balls of worn fabric all over them.

We are fine with “ordinary” or “average” hotels, preferring to spend our money on restaurants and outings when on vacation. This did not live up to average. Pretty much everything in the room - bed, pillows, sheets, floors, curtains, lamps, lack of a hair dryer, poor quality of soap and shampoo - said the hotel is doing everything can as cheaply as possible. Please step it up a notch or two.

It was fine
It was fine. The room smelled a little musty but it was clean. We did try to call the room service for fresh towels but no answer.
Check in went well.

Anniversary failure
The hotel is old. The decor is minimal. There were coffee and tea packets but no coffee pot. No hair dryer. The beds are on top of metal stands and it seems the child above us liked to kick it and it sounded like a metal dumpster lid slamming shut. The room had the basic…bed two nightstands and a chair for the desk. For $300+ a night I expected a little more. And a $100 deposit that we will get back in 3-7 days after they make sure we didn’t break anything. Not sure what we could destroy in that room.

Only stayed 1 night. The water pressure on the shower was weak. Otherwise, it was not expensive, had air conditioning, and was close to activities on State Street. No complaints. Would stay again.

Door was squeaky / hard to open and close. No mini fridge. Appliances were unplugged on arrival. Metal surrounding under bed was too visible where we kept hitting our feet into.. therefore causing a loud noise.
