Hôtel Villa Nicolo

Pros: easy access to all Paris sights (metro), quiet location with secret courtyard, friendly staff, clean and comfortable - relatively large room what what is standard in Paris. The only feedback I would give is that our room was all a dark red color - made the room feel very dark. Be aware there is no A/C - it wasn't necessary during our stay, but there was a ceiling fan and an extra fan.

an ok hotel. the elevator is tiny. you have to go up the stairs to get an elevator, which was hard on my wife because she is pregnant. the elevator usually stops between floors, for instance if your staying on the 3rd floor, you'll have to stop between the floors and either go down the stairs or up the stairs. which was difficult because we had 4 big bags. no A/C but was not a problem because the weather was amazing. if we decide to smoke at 2 or 3 am, the door is locked and the Receptionist is a sleep somewhere and if you insist on going out, you will face some attitude from the gentleman because you woke him up. rooms were clean, bed is huge. i would recommend anyone to stay there if they are tight on budget.

Great stay! Very charming hotel that was super accommodating to us having a baby with us. They were able to provide a pack-n-play, baby bathtub and a highchair at breakfast. They kept our carseat for us in the luggage area so it didn't take up space in our room and gave us a room on the ground floor so we didn't have to do any stairs with the stroller. We checked in early in the day and were very, very thankful for the coffees and croissants that were offered to us while we sat in the lobby for a few minutes and figured out what our plan was. Nice neighborhood with lots of small take-away food spots, and would have been close to a metro stop if he metro had been running. (tip: there's a grocerry stop a block away in a mall, but it doesn't open til 9 or 10)
