I booked the hotel, unexpectedly, for an additional night because my flight got canceled near midnight. During the booking process on the app, somewhere in fine print it must have said that check in ends at midnight (strange in itself, but not the point here). Since it would take at least an hour to get from Munich airport to the hotel, I tried to call the hotel directly AT LEAST 10 times to make sure I would be able to check in. They DID NOT pick up the phone even once. I called Hotels.com customer service and all they could say is along the lines of “we’ve left the hotel a message, nothing else we can do, so good luck”. When I got there, they checked me in without any questions at about 12:30am. Unnecessary stress created by an apparently incorrect condition (check in only until midnight) on the app.
That aside, my stay was fine. The service was lackluster.
Breakfast was very good.
