Very good stay
Really pleasant stay, we ´ll come back to Chez François.

Comfortable accommodations, nice neighborhood, easy access to public transportation, fabulous family and pet park directly across the street

8/10 Very good

We had a comfortable stay at Chez Francois. Our room faced the street, but was surprisingly quiet. Access to the park was lovely, and we enjoyed walking in the Plateau neighborhood nearby. This place is not convenient the Metro, however.

It was a great place to stay! Right on Parc Fontaine, which is fantastic, and a short walk to busses and metro. Charming and comfortable. We would definately stay there again.

4/10 Fair

The smoke detector in the hall was beeping both days we were there. It was sold as an B&B. A loaf of bread next to a toaster and a bowl of apples isn’t a breakfast. The people that worked there were short - that must explain why the didn’t know there was a huge spiderweb in the entryway. No problem my head took care of it, it was in a good location.

Intimate place with only 4 rooms. Had access to a balcony and washer dryer… Coffee maker in and outside the room, with all the Tim Hortons you can drink :) High quality sheets and towels too.

It is very beautiful townhouse and room is clean. The host is very helpful and kind. I had real green tea leaves from her kitchen this Fall when I am visiting Montreal. Merci, Xiexie

10/10 Exceptional

Beautiful room with view by the park, the staff was helpful with wifi and we got switched into a bigger room that was available! Such a beautiful little apartment! Really, my only complaint of I can even call it that, was that the breakfast food was limited to one croissant per person but lots of cereal, milk and tea/coffee!

Wonderfully located across from Parc Lafontaine , several bus stops that take you downtown to place des Arts. A short 10 min walk from Ave Mont-Royal (right direction)which is car free during the summer months, full of restaurants, cafes , supermarkets, and delicious bakeries 😋 You can also grab a city bike (just walk up rue Gaultier (left / left direction) and bike down Ave de Lorimier straight to the Olympic Park or the beautiful Botanical Gardens.

6/10 Good

Garbage spread all over the front of surrounding buildings. Back lot where you park not clearned of snow so was a sheet of ice when the snow mrlted and then frooze. Room cleanliness could have been better. Great location for walking to local cafes, restaurants and shops. Felt safe.

6/10 Good

4 stars??
Our accommodations were fine but I would not rate this as a 4-star B&B. The rooms were located very close to one another around a sitting area that was clean but shabby. Our room was very small with a double bed that was uncomfortable. There was no cleaning service during our 3 night stay. Coffee service was good. Parking space costs extra behind the building appreciated. Must be able to climb steep stairs to access accommodations.
Margery, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

I never actually made it to the hotel, since Montreal did not plow streets or parking spaces at all. Literally impossible to navigate Montreal, drive, park, etc., so I had to turn back, leave the city, and stay elsewhere. Lost the entire cost of my one night prepaid stay.

10/10 Exceptional

A charming little hotel
A nice, comfortable bed and breakfast in truly Montreal style, just across from the park. I took the first room size upgrade for one person, based on the website photos. The kitchen offering a simple, self-serve breakfast had a home like atmosphere. Also a great location, I enjoyed an hour long walk from the City centre rather than taking a taxi. One thing I found strange about the check in - while I exchanged texts with the staff to confirm arrival time and the entrance codes, there was no mention of threre being no main entrance, or no staff iaround at any time. It seemed somewhat "cryptic" finding notes on the doors directing to the next entrance, as the only entrance turned out to be upstairs through the external stairwell. This could have been better explained by text/email prior to arrival.
Blanka, 3-night trip

2/10 Poor

Worst Ever - Can't lock your room door.
I believe all of the positive reviews have to be fake. The room is unsecure meaning that you cannot lock the door from the inside. the quality of everything is two 2 of 10 and there's absolutely no one to help you with any problems or concerns you may have access is ridiculous. The hotel is marketed as a b&b but there is no breakfast I could not get into my room for the second day of my visit because there's no one at the front desk and the code that I was given did not work to open the room.
ERIC, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Small, ok if the location is important
We booked this based on good reviews and location we wanted to be near. Small place. Bed was very comfortable. 5 rooms. Rooms are small. Washroom very small as was shower. About the size of a motor home washroom. They call it a BnB however no breakfast served Sunday morning and some cereal left there for Monday morning. They do have coffee. The common kitchen area is right outside your room for the room we had. Fridge stove microwave etc all there to use. Nobody else there so ok but could get loud outside your door if booked full. Tv didn’t work. We told them but they couldn’t fix it. Provider issue. Charged $30 cash for 2 nights parking. I should have asked for discount because of tv issue. Has stairs to climb on outside. Owners did seem very nice though. We chose this place as I said because location was most important to us. Other than that I think I would stay at larger hotel. Would have been a very good stay if a breakfast available and a tv that worked.
