No amenities off season
Don't go here off season. Description says there's a restaurant on site but it's not open. It also says there's a pool and hot tub but we were told (once we were in the hot tub) that they were closed (there were no signs and gate was open). You also have to pay a $30 state park fee to get to the resort which isn't stated anywhere. You pay prime rates but for no amenities. The staff is great as are the views but what is offered is much different than what's stated.

Family trip to hike slot canyons
We had a great say at the Lake Powell Resort after spending the afternoon hiking Buckskin Gulch in nearby Utah. The hotel has incredible views of Lake Powell and watching the sun come up over the lake in the morning was awesome. We had dinner at the hotel, which was excellent and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Especially Janet who took care of us at dinner. If you are in the area and need a place to stay, and want amazing views, comfort and friendly and helpful staff, this is the place to stay.

A place to sleep
It’s an ok motel. If you get the “standard” room in building 3 it’s tired. Avoid a room on the second floor if you want to sit on the patio and enjoy the view as the patio wall is too tall to sit. Avoid a room on the first floor if you don’t want to hear what’s going on upstairs (there’s only 2 floors), so pick what’s important to you. In the off season, restaurant service is almost non existent. The employees were polite enough. The restaurant check system has serious flaws.

Beautiful resort stay to enjoy Lake Powell and the surrounding area. Made for a great home base and nice to walk along the lake path several times and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view. Staff was friendly, funny and helpful. Enjoyed sunrise every morning from our veranda and star gazing at night.

The view of the lake from the outside of the property was pretty. Rooms are old with water-damaged furniture and no elevator. Booked a room for 4, only had towels for 2. No pool towels available unless you go to the lobby. Was okay for an overnight stay as we passed through. Probably wouldn't come back again.

The rooms are out dated, you can hear everyone walking in the halls, our view was the boat loading dock and the mattress was worn down.
