This was my second visit to Rose des Vents, and I would highly recommend it. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and the location, right by a simply stunning beach (the one where the BBC programme "Death in Paradise" is filmed), couldn't be bettered. The charming town of Deshaies is a short drive away, and is home to some excellent restaurants, and there is a fairly large and well-stocked supermarket a few minutes drive away too. Stayed for 2 nights in the panoramic room. View is exceptional and staff very friendly and accommodating. This hotel absolutely deserves a higher score than at present (8/10).
Would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone looking to stay near Deshaies. The only gotcha is the panoramic room requires you to walk up quite a steep hill for 5 minutes so may be an issue for people with mobility issues

8/10 Very good
