Everything you want in a hotel—and more!
We had a lovely stay at Hotel Herrihof. Located slightly up on a hill with signs to guide your way, there was ample dedicated parking for the hotel (a real bonus in Europe). The hotel is well located—being up on the hill gives you privacy and quiet, yet you are still only a 12 minute walk to the start of the Todtnau Wasserfalle hike or a 10 minute drive into the center of Todtnau. Our room was spacious, perfectly clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast in the mornings was delicious and filling. My kids were delighted to find a playground in the courtyard with swings, a slide, and sunk-in trampolines. We would definitely come back if we were in the area again.

Great hotel, amazing views, tasty food nearby
My wife and I had a day trip to the Todtnau waterfall, the hotel was less than 5 minutes away by drive. Perfect distance. The hotel room was very clean and comforting. The view from the hotel is amazing! There is a really great pizza restaurant down the street from it, and is only about a 5 minute walk. I definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who is planning a trip to the waterfall and needs somewhere to stay overnight.

Service und Frühstück ausbaufähig
Begrüßung bei Ankunft freundlich. Zimmer sauber. Beleuchtung in Zimmer und insbesondere im Badezimmer unzureichend, viel zu dunkel. Fernseher für das große Zimmer könnte deutlich größer sein. Wo wir tatsächlich enttäuscht waren, war der schlechte und unaufmerksame Service am Abend. Nach einer Autopanne kamen wir abends um 20.30 Uhr im Hotel an. Laut Informationsmappe im Zimmer ist die Küche im Restaurant bis 21 Uhr, bzw. für kleinere Speisen bis 21.30 Uhr geöffnet. Uns wurde jedoch mitgeteilt, dass in der Küche schon geputzt würde und wir kein Essen mehr bekämen. Der Servicemitarbeiter hat meine erfolglosen Telefonate bei den anderen Restaurants in dem (sehr kleinen) Ort mitbekommen. Dennoch wurde und nicht einmal ein Käsebrot angeboten. So mussten wir bis zum Frühstück am nächsten Morgen warten. Dieses ist okay, anstelle von einzeln abgepackten Muffins wäre jedoch eine schönere Auswahl für Vegetarier wünschenswert.

Alles war perfekt. Sehr freundliches Personal und ungezwungene, familiäre Atmosphäre. Sehr gutes Essen. Alles in allem Zum Wohlfühlen. Vielleicht könnte noch ein Kosmetikspiegel im Bad angebracht werden.
