Very disappointing
The room was quite small, but that wasn't the issue. For one, there was a quite bad smell in the room. The mattress had other people's hair under it and under the pillow. The noise-insulation was non-existent - we can hear absolutely everything happening in the other rooms. The AC would turn itself on during the night and blast cold air at us, even when we had turned it off. The staff would start cleaning the hallway at about 8am, so if you want to sleep in, good luck with that. Overall, not super rude staff, but not friendly at all. The breakfast buffet is a joke - the food was terrible and some things, like orange fresh, cost extra money. We did it one morning and never went back for the rest of our trip.

Very nice - beautiful comfortable modern room. The elevator was old fashion but we were in an ancient city. Close to everything except on a hot day the walk to the coleseum was excruciating- the room was great!!

One night in Rome
The One Boutique is in a great location if spending time in Rome. The staff is extremely helpful from the front desk to the restaurant. The only issue we incurred was lack of storage for extended stays and the elevator was even smaller than we anticipated. Close to the Trevi Fountain.

The hotel was very nice and very clean. It was walking distance to the Trevi fountain, and the Spanish steps and loads of shopping and restaurants. We didn’t have to take a taxi to go anywhere except to the airport which the front desk arranged for us. They also had a great breakfast that was included in our stay. I would definitely stay there again.

Mattress is uncomfortably soft. I got back pain after the first night, and ended up sleeping on the pillows - they were firmer than the mattress. Turned the do not disturb sign on, but to no avail - after a sleepless night, got woken up by staff knocking on the door and screaming “housekeeping!” Half of the tiles in the bathroom were loose. The shampoo dispenser in shower didn’t work. Front desk gave us conditioner when we asked for shampoo. We later did some detective work to figure out that someone put the bottle into the shampoo dispenser with a duct tape “seal.” A room of this quality would go for $100/night in the heart of manhattan.
