You get what you pay for.... sort of
At just $70 for the room i understand that you get what you pay for. But the picture of the $70 room and what you actually get is certainly nothing alike. The photo shows a room with an outdoor walkway, not the inside up stairs room that i got. Needing a knee replacement, stairs and i dont do well. The room was as basic as i expected, whilst the air conditioner didnt work to warm the room up, the bedding and towels were clean, the shower was hot, there was no dust. Parking was easy. In sticking with the mill theme, the curtain to the original small window on the room has a curtain made out of thin heshan. It didnt keep any light out, and there is a light outside the room displaying that there are pokies in the building below. So that light didnt go off until the pokies shut for the night. The window being original also doesnt block out any street noise on what is a very busy street. The mattress was hard, for me better than a 20 yr old soft mattress. The restaurant below was ok, service not great, i found i was ignored a few times trying to order a meal and then asking where some of the meal was. The rooms at the back of the Motel might be a better option, i wont find out as i wont stay here again
