A forwarded thinking, handsomely designed gem
This hotel was everything I hoped it would be - a stylish, friendly, cozy sanctuary during the pandemic. The hotel manager & staff left a dog bed and bowls for our Boston Terrier and surprised my daughter (celebrating her 16th birthday while there) with a beautiful anthology of essays and poems by women writers addressing climate change. So incredibly thoughtful! Many of their beautiful spaces and amenities are closed by necessity but we enjoyed the beautiful library and the warm fire there. The record player in our room was a highlight with my husband getting more albums from the radio station/listening room on the main floor. The music selections and the book assortments are thoughtfully curated. Loved the artwork, loved the whole vibe. We look forward to returning. My only constructive feedback would be the absence of rooms with 2 queens (all rooms are king beds with option of roll-away or sofa sleeping in the suite where we stayed). We all loved the social & environmental justice mission that seems to be woven throughout the property. Easily walked to the Mall and museums from here.

Clean and Comfy
It was a nice clean hotel in the time of Covid, I wiped the room down with my own sanitizing wipes and not one spec of dirt showed up on them. Comfortable cozy room.

Cool boutique hotel
Great room. offered a free upgrade, so I got the Study room with the hope for a suite upgrade. After check-in and some back and forth with customer service, got the upgrade. Honestly, the Study room was way nicer than the suite they "upgraded" me to. I went back to the Study King. Also, no room service due to COVID. Overall, great hotel. Cool vibe, very clean rooms, nice products in the bathroom. Would stay again.

Pre-COVID Great, Post-COVID Meh
We booked a block of rooms for our wedding guests at The Eaton in addition to our own suite. I have stayed here before and LOVED the hotel, it’s messaging and amenities. But a LOT has changed since COVID, and we were let down. For us, we were disappointed in the size of our room (which was supposed to be a Suite). I asked if it was actually a suite and the Front Desk told me it was. The hotel did nothing to acknowledge that it was our wedding night, offered no upgrades, no champagne, etc. Not even free parking. Disappointing. Several of guests had negative comments about the lack of friendly customer service. I didn’t not encounter the short tempered attitude some said they did from the Front Desk clerk, but he was the only attendant I saw there the whole 48 hours we were on site. Parking was a mess. They would not allow our guests to park in the garage after 3pm on Saturday, stating it was closing for the week. One of our guests arrived earlier and could not find the garage entrance. The front desk clerk got annoyed by her and hung up on her when she called for help. What?? 😠 The gentleman assisting the Front Desk wore a worn out tshirt and jeans. He was the only employee bringing things to guest rooms if they called the Front Desk. Slow response times, witnessed him twice forgetting things my parents asked for. I’ll probably return in the future but not until they’re at full staff again.

PLEASE DO BETTER- hire me and I’ll help. Seriously
Initially I was beyond excited to experience this hotel- I heard nothing BUT great things so I must admit that I was quite disappointed in the presentation of my room up entry. It appeared to have not been cleaned since it was last occupied. Stains on the carpet, hair in the shower and bathroom sink. Just completely unacceptable(let me remind you that this was what I was “upgraded to”). Long story short I spoke to the front desk and housekeeping management who apologized immensely and kindly upgraded us again to a suite and gave us complimentary water and boxed wine)It was “better” but still not up to par and to be quite honest I didn’t have the energy to go through the previously mentioned process again. There was hair in the bathroom on the wall and shelf near the sink and well as dirty shower head:/. I neglected to complain this time around because I was quite exhausted (driving/unloading just to load up again) it was way too much of a hassle. I think that Eaton Can benefit from having someone with a keener eye for detail when it comes to the upkeep of their rooms.
