6/10 Good

Basic but not grim
I knew it to a ‘budget’ hotel and it was basic but clean and staff were friendly and helpful. I was disappointed to learn that no evening meal was available on Sunday nor breakfast on Monday morning. I had thought I was in a B&B basis. We organised a ‘carry-out’ for the Sunday evening meal and was directed to a very good nearby cafe for breakfast, at our cost. All of this should have been made more apparent during the booking process.

6/10 Good

Cheapest stay around, but there was a party downstairs and the music was incredibly loud until around 11 pm. Not a pleasant sleep the night before the Great North Run!
