Wyndham Athens Residence

The receptionist was super kind. We were extremely tired and we got in 3-4 hours early at the hotel. She was kind enough to let us complete an early check in and she upgraded our room. Really appreciate the gesture!

Friendly staff, nice clean room. Area is noisy and congested, but conveniently located.

Located right beside a metro stop and in a less crowded area than the center.

Staff was excellent. From the moment we entered the Hotel, Porter and Reception Staff were very friendly. Always welcoming with a greeting and a smile throughout our stay. We came in early and room was not ready, so we left our bags at the reception and went to explore. When we came back after the check in time, room was still not ready. No bother, Hotel was obviously busy, and this is expected. Manager offered us change of room, with different bed setup, and we took it. Room have all the amenities that you would expect. There is espresso machine, which would be my only complain. First two capsules are free, after that its chargeable. Don't know how much as I did not ask. Anyway we tried it out, after using it for the first coffee it stopped poring water for the second. First one was nasty, and we pored it to sink. We ended up buying instant coffee in the nearby grocery for the remaining of our stay. As residents here you can avail of the pool in the sister Hotel just beside it, quite convenient. We did not eat anything in the Hotel, so I cant say anything about the food. Bar Staff were absolute delight as was the Reception and Porters (Accommodation were a bit grumpy ;)) I'm very bad with the names, so unfortunately I cant give any credit to particular employees (trainee Reception girl ;)). Al together we had very pleasant stay, we would come back, and recommend this Hotel to anyone.

Staff are so friendly and we used the pool at their sister property which was lovely after a very hot day roaming around Athens

The room set up was quite pleasing, and accommodated all of my travel needs.

This was my 2nd Trip to Greece. I don't know why such things repeat... Despite making an extra payment for breakfast at the time 9f booking ,this I formation was not updated in the hotel adminstration desk and it was embarrassing to convince them and proving them that I had indeed paid for the same. Thus checking in took more than usual time with a bitter taste in mouth. In my erstwhile trip also ( not via hotels.com) the previous hotel too had issues with room size and argued against what was seen at booking portal. Cost Vs . service ratio not up to mark .. paying 110€ per night in the same hotel is higher than other hotel rooms of similar standards in same vicinity. Strange but unpleasant.

The hotel is not fancy in the entrance but the rooms are very nice and include refrigerators and a mini-bar area. Great location next to a metro station. Right next door is a 24-hour bakery/cafeteria (Bread Factory) with a huge selection of pastries/breads/sandwiches/cakes in the morning so there's no reason to pay the high breakfast fee at the hotel.

Nice and comfortable hotel located near the train station with easy walking reach of most main attractions in Athens. The staff and their service to the customer is first class, truely 5 stars, and in my opinion better than the main hotel across the road. Highly recommended.
